Brand Experience: How To Create an Ethical & Unstoppable Brand of Influence

When most online business owners think of branding, they think of repeating images over various social networks, repeating slogans / messages, etc.

But … branding is actually so much more than that.

Branding Can Hurt

Branding Can HURT !!!

How you make people feel is the BIGGEST part of your brand, because it resonates with people immediately, and carries the message of your business to their friends for many generations. If you make somebody feel crappy, they are going to remember it and tie it with your brand. The same goes if you create a superb customer experience.

For example, I don’t deal with Domino’s anymore, a once favored brand, because of the way they treated me in some recent transactions. I didn’t FEEL like a valued customer: keyword: “FEEL” …

The lesson to be learned is: They took the blunt of this failure, because of my tweets and facebook messages about them afterward. IT HURT!

How do you make people feel in your home business?

Do you call your fans, prospects, clients and business associates by their first name, or do you put off trying to remember a difficult name for something easier to say? Do you remember their birthdays and the names of their children? Do you genuinely care that they are trusting you with whether it be their hard earned cash or very valuable time? or do you just care about making a buck and moving on? … With each interaction, you’re creating YOUR brand for generations. The last one I have for you here is the hardest to grasp because we have all fallen into this pattern at some time or another: Have you fallen into a communication routine? That’s no way to treat somebody that is paying for the roof over your head. Furthermore, if you’re just broadcasting your messages at people, its not communication at all. I’ve learned a lot in business, and the most vital key to success I’ve learned is that people FEEL. simple as that. period.

If you can make somebody feel good, you can make them go to any lengths to buy from YOU. Furthermore, they will make certain that they buy from YOU, just because of the way YOU made them feel.

All of the items I mentioned above help create a better brand experience because people care about their emotions more than they do money. If you want to win somebody’s wallet, win their heart first. I urge you today to leave your thoughts & comments, share as well as reach out to somebody in need today, not because you’re in need but because you genuinely care about your friend’s, fan’s, family’s, prospect’s and client’s concerns.

  1. Whether or not we want to admit it, everything we do and say is part of our branding. How we treat people, how we live our lives, how we run our business, people we associate with etc.

    To fully support our brand image, we must literally align everything we do, say, and associate with in a way that supports it.

    • Hi Elizabeth, I wouldn’t say its the “rule of the game” however it is crucial to business, and there is so much more to branding than people realize. As Saqib pointed out, it even has to do with our own personal development since this creates who we are in our authentic essence, not just the image we wish to portray :-)
